Gracehaven seeks through Christian
love to provide shelter and rehabilitation
to girls under the age of 18 who have been
victims of commercial sexual exploitation,
and to raise awareness
among young women
about the issue of domestic minor sex trafficking
(DMST) in order to educate and equip
them
so that they can avoid becoming victims
themselves.
On Saturday,
June 6th from 10am-1pm they
are hosting a “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes”
fundraiser at Fred Beekman Park,
Ohio State University. This walk is
asking men to literally walk on mile in
women’s high-heeled
shoes. Women,
on the other hand, get to walk in the
comfort of their own tennis shoes.
Soroptimist
club members and friends may
participate in this fundraiser. The cost
is $10 to walk and $10 for a t-shirt.
If you are interested in participating in the
walk please
contact Michelle at
the NESFC club e-mail address.
